Don’t worry! Our 10-minute training session is designed for absolute beginners. We set the camera to “Auto-Mode”, so you only have to point and shoot to get professional results.
No. A MicroSD card is provided with your camera kit for use during the hire and must be returned with the camera. We also provide a phone-compatible card reader, or you can transfer your footage using the GoPro app. If you have trouble transferring your files, we can upload them to Dropbox and send you a download link.
Yes. A good-quality waterproof phone bag can capture some great memories while swimming or snorkelling, but it is not suitable for scuba diving. Quality also varies, with cheaper plastic potentially reducing sharpness, creating distortion or making photos appear blurry.
A GoPro is designed for underwater use and produces sharper photos and smoother video. It is the better choice for scuba divers, or anyone wanting higher-quality underwater footage. Our Cinema Rigs also include X-Adventurer M4500 video lights, which help restore the vibrant reds and oranges that become less visible at depth.
Yes. At the time of delivery, we perform a simple credit card pre-authorisation (a temporary hold) to cover the value of the professional equipment. This is released as soon as the gear is returned safely.
If you have booked multiple tours through I Love Cairns, you can keep the gear for the duration of your tours (up to a maximum of 7 days).
