ABC Snorkel Charters provides up to 3.5 hours at the reef, with unlimited snorkeling at 2 different reef sites. Where they go each day is determined by the tides, current and prevailing weather conditions. They will pick the best sites, to maximise your experience on the Great Barrier Reef on your day of travel. Their sites have healthy reef cover and are home to an abundance of marine life, including turtles, reef sharks, giant clams, anemonefish and more. All snorkelling equipment and instruction is included in the tour price, as is a marine biologist to provide guided snorkel tours all day. Water access is via the back deck and stairs, which are lowered into the water for your comfort and convenience.

ABC Snorkel Charters boat is moored at Marano’s Port Douglas, Port Street. If you are self-driving, there is plenty of free parking. Transfers can be arranged and are additional cost to the tour. Check-in and boarding is at the boat, from 7.45am for an 8am departure. Lunch is included. You should take a towel, sunglasses, hat, change of clothes and sunblock for the day, as well as cash or credit cards to make any beverage purchases. Tea, coffee and cold water is supplied and included.

Check in and boarding at the ABC Snorkel Charters boat, which is moored at Marano’s Port Douglas, Port Street.

8:00 am

ABC Snorkel Charters departs Port Douglas and commences its journey to the Great Barrier Reef. All safety and snorkel briefings are conducted on the way to the reef. In addition, one of the marine biologists provides an interesting talk, covering a range of reef information and outlining some key species you might see during your day.

10:00 am

Arrive at the first Great Barrier Reef site – and let the snorkelling fun begin. ABC Snorkel Charters has a guided snorkel ratio of 1 to 6, crew to guests. They are in the water with you, pointing out creatures and features of interest and providing information around them. You can also choose to snorkel independently.

11:30 am

While the boat moves to its second site for the day, you can enjoy morning tea, which is provided and included. Tea and coffee, fresh fruit and a pastry.

12:00 pm

ABC Snorkel Charters arrives at its second reef site for the day, where you can enjoy more snorkelling. The marine biologists are on hand to be in the water with you, you also have the choice to snorkel independently. Having the guide is a highlight and elevates this Port Douglas reef tour for customer service and engagement and education, on the reef.

1:30 pm

Lunch is served, as ABC Snorkel Charters makes its way back from the Great Barrier Reef to Port Douglas. Lunch is a light and healthy roll and cookie.
