Weather permitting you will visit 2 sites, selected to give the best experience, pending conditions on the day of travel. All equipment and instruction is provided and included, as is a snorkel guide who is in the water with you, taking photos which are later uploaded to Facebook for you to share. Water access is straight off the boat, via side doors or the front ladder.
Your Reef Adventures Mission Beach half day tour begins with check in and boarding at the Clump Point Boat Ramp, Mission Beach. If you are self-driving, there is plenty of free parking. You should arrive around 8am, for an 8.30am departure. The tour returns to Mission Beach by 12.30pm. Morning tea is provided and included. You should take a towel, sunglasses, hat, sunblock for the day and cash or credit cards to make any additional beverage / snack purchases.
Check in commences at the Reef Adventures boat – Spirit of Adventure – which is moored at the Clump Point Boat Ramp, Mission Beach.
Once all the guests have checked in, it’s time to super charge your way to the reef.
Fins on and into the water for some Great Barrier Reef snorkelling. Beaver Reef is a fringing reef with a stunning sand cay at its centre. Turtles are regularly seen here, as are colourful chromis, butterflyfish, angelfish, trout and trevally. You can snorkel from the boat, on fringing reefs with coral bommies and reef walls. There is a snorkel guide on board and all snorkel equipment is provided and included in the tour price. Morning tea is provided during your time at the reef, with additional beverages and (limited) snacks available for purchase.
