Reef Adventures Mission Beach provide half day tours to the Great Barrier Reef, from Mission Beach. With passenger numbers capped at just 25, and a crew that are dedicated to ensuring you have a great time with them, you are assured of an awesome time at the reef. Their boat – Spirit of Adventure – is high powered and high performance, getting you to and from the reef in comfort and style. Once there you have up to 2 hours of snorkel and swim time on the reef, with all equipment and instruction provided and included in the tour price. Bonus, their snorkel guide is on hand to provide assistance. This half day tour departs from Clump Point Boat Ramp, Mission Beach.
As tour numbers are limited to just 25 people, it sells out fast, so book ahead to secure your preferred dates. The morning tour departs at 8.30am and returns at 12.30pm. You should arrive at 8am.

They visit Beaver Reef, part of the Great Barrier Reef, where you can enjoy 2 hours of snorkelling at 2 different sites, weather permitting. Please note that Reef Adventures’ reef sites are in open water, waves and current is sometimes present. As such, you should be a confident swimmer with reasonable fitness. Flotation devices are available, if required.
Reef Adventures Mission Beach gives you 2 hours to explore, snorkel and enjoy the Great Barrier Reef, on their half day reef tours. Weather permitting you will visit 2 sites, selected to give the best experience, pending conditions on the day of travel. All equipment and instruction is provided and included, as is a snorkel guide who is in the water with you, taking photos which are later uploaded to Facebook for you to share. Water access is straight off the boat, via side doors or the front ladder.
Your Reef Adventures Mission Beach half day tour begins with check in and boarding at the Clump Point Boat Ramp, Mission Beach. If you are self-driving, there is plenty of free parking. You should arrive around 8am, for an 8.30am departure. The tour returns to Mission Beach by 12.30pm. Morning tea is provided and included. You should take a towel, sunglasses, hat, sunblock for the day and cash or credit cards to make any additional beverage / snack purchases.
Check in commences at the Reef Adventures boat – Spirit of Adventure – which is moored at the Clump Point Boat Ramp, Mission Beach.
Once all the guests have checked in, it’s time to super charge your way to the reef.
Fins on and into the water for some Great Barrier Reef snorkelling. Beaver Reef is a fringing reef with a stunning sand cay at its centre. Turtles are regularly seen here, as are colourful chromis, butterflyfish, angelfish, trout and trevally. You can snorkel from the boat, on fringing reefs with coral bommies and reef walls. There is a snorkel guide on board and all snorkel equipment is provided and included in the tour price. Morning tea is provided during your time at the reef, with additional beverages and (limited) snacks available for purchase.

Water access to and from the boat is easy, via side doors or the front ladder. Please note you will be snorkelling in the open ocean, so for your comfort, it is recommended that you have reasonable swimming ability and fitness.

Reef Adventures Mission Beach runs small number, half day snorkel tours to Beaver Reef. The crew are all about ensuring your time on the reef is the best it can be. We saw colourful corals with literally hundreds of fish darting around us, it was like being in an aquarium.
